Seven crucial points on the role of strategy
Anglo American hired me as facilitator for their strategic planning conference. In addition, they wanted me, as a motivational speaker, to give two key note speeches. These were titled; the role of strategy to move from surviving to thriving and the seven steps to mental toughness.
The seven crucial points on the role of strategy were:
- Re-imagine / reinvent success and significance
- Identify value differentiators that improve quality / magnify customer proposition
- Anticipate / adapt to change / market drivers that have positive / negative impacts
- Embrace technologies that could be disruptors or competitive advantages
- Increase customer centricity and grow customer intimacy
- Develop human assets and teamwork
- Grow and live the culture
