I received an inquiry from Global Citizen NPC. They wanted a team building session with a motivational talk using their strategic planning needs as the context.

I was so impressed with the organization and their goals of gender equality, eradication of extreme poverty and the achievement of a sustainable environment. This was also my first all-female audience!

I really enjoyed the session. It made me feel re-energised and ready for the challenges that lay ahead in 2020. I also learnt things that can be applied in everyday life scenarios and not just in the workspace, which is always a win. Yes, expectations were met.

The session overall was really insightful. I enjoyed that we managed to get perspective from an “outsider”. I think this is something we need to continuously do as a team. The tools, book recommendations and ideas he planted are really worth looking into. Not on an individual basis but rather as a the GC Africa organisation. He should come back again. My expectations were met. Thank you for a refresher to see how mental tough we have or are becoming

It was practical, empowering and inspiring. He clearly knows his stuff, he is passionate and he seems to live by his principles daily, so I actually look forward to engaging with his book and really putting his tools to use. I really valued how he was not trying to sell pipe dreams or unattainable goals, even though it’s obvious he expects those goals to be very, very high. Steve, you a performer and an orator, but It would be wonderful to use references that mirror your audience. A room full of South African women and there is no Caster Semenya in your sporting references? I hope you’ll consider this point Expectations were exceeded.

Steve was very engaging, seemed very passionate and enthused about the topic at hand, which in turn made it very easy for me to listen to him and engage with what he was saying. At times I felt lost by the sport comparisons and felt the presentation could be more localised and have more people of colour. The team building sessions were refreshing and a nice breakaway from the conference room. Yes I am grateful that I got to learn something new. Overall, I walked away having learnt something new and that is always a bonus! I appreciate that Steve is willing to learn and adapt as he puts his work into practice.

Really enjoyed the team building exercises - they were fun, but at the same time gave us insight into how we work together. Similarly, the presentation was extremely inspirational in terms of both personal and professional development. To some extent I found the session to be more inspirational than practical - but overall expectations were met.
